I really should have known better. I thought I could work on staining the deck railing while Teddy played next to me. He was very interested in what I was doing, but kept his distance at first. Suddenly, he dashed into the house and came back with the feather duster. He moves so quickly that he had it in the can of stain before I could even react. Unfortunately, I didn't learn my lesson. I cleaned up the mess and went back to staining after trying to get him interested in his toys. It didn't last long. This time, he stuck both hands fully into the stain. What a mess! I got him cleaned up pretty quickly, but not before he made a grab for the patio furniture. Thankfully, both Teddy and the chair washed off easily. That was the end of staining for the day.
