Ikea, Pt 2
The main goal of our Ikea trip was to find some storage solutions for Ollie's room. His room was never really intended to be a bedroom (it was my office before Teddy's arrival) so it's rather small. We've been able to turn it into a usable bedroom thanks to Rick's creativity and building talent. He made a loft bed for Ollie, as well as a built-in desk. The best part of the room is the ceiling. Rick painted the ceiling black and installed lights to mimic a starry night. (The pics really don't do it justice.)
Our Ikea shopping trip included a new art hanging system above Ollie's bed. It's actually curtain wire and clips that come in a pack for $4.99. Ollie is very excited to be able to showcase some of his best pieces.
The other improvement is a set of shelves above his desk. I think we've finally found a place for all of Ollie's possessions, so I'm hoping he'll do a better job of putting things away.
