Priceless Antique?

Over the last couple of weeks, our kitchen cupboards have gotten pretty bare. It's always interesting when the shelves start to empty because we begin to notice things that have been there awhile. This can of Chunky Soup is a perfect example. It was unearthed from the bottom shelf where we store our canned goods. The shelf is exactly at eye-level, so it's not like it's hard to see. I know I've looked at it a million times when digging through the cans to find something good. ( It's not that Chunky Soup isn't good, it just wasn't what I was looking for at the time.) Rick finally dug it out and started looking at the label. Super Bowl XXXIV? Didn't we just watch Super Bowl XLIII? (For those of you that are Roman-numerals impaired, that's 34 and 43). Yes, this can of soup is more than 9 years old! Too bad it expired in 2001. I was starting to feel a little hungry for some Steak and Potato Soup... I wonder if we won the deluxe trip to Super Bowl XXXIV?

  1. See now, that could never happen to me. Moving every year or so has its advantages !
