Dentist: Before and After
Somehow I managed to talk Max into letting me take a picture of his broken tooth. He is extremely self-conscious about it, mainly because was doing something foolish when he initially broke it two years ago. I told him that he would appreciate the fixed tooth if he could really see how it looks broken so he agreed. He tried his best to smile, but his heart just wasn't in it! I took him in this morning to have it fixed. We asked for a different dentist in the same practice because I wasn't thrilled with the way it looked last time. The new dentist did a tremendous job! She purposely made the new tooth a bit shorter so it wouldn't hit on his bottom teeth and risk breaking it again. She also made it a bit thinner, which makes it look less prominent. Max was very happy with the results. The best part is that we weren't charged for it! As we were leaving, they said they'd turn it into insurance and let us know the balance after they paid. I told them we'd dropped our dental coverage because the premiums were so high that it wasn't really worth having. The dentist quickly talked with the billing clerk and they decided that it was sort of "warranty" job since he'd just had it done a little over a year ago. Now that's good patient care!
